Why am I not receiving email in my student email account?

Try the following troubleshooting steps if you are not receiving Mohawk College email:

  • Correct email address
    Read the Mohawk Email Guide to find out how to access your email and to find out your correct email address.
  • Send a test email
    Send an email from your personal email to your Mohawk email. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, move to the next steps.
  • Make sure your email is sorted correctly (newest first)
    Change the sorting option to sort by "Date" and select "Newest on Top" so that your most recent emails shows up first.
  • Check your MyCanvas notifications
    If you have changed any of the notifications in MyCanvas, check to make sure you have not turned off Conversations.
  • Junk Email
    Check your junk email to see if missing email is in that folder.
  • Blocked Senders
    Check your blocked sender list using Outlook online by following these instructions: Block or Unblock a Sender Using Outlook for the Web. Remove any senders that might be blocking you from getting email.
  • Alumni
    One year after graduation, all students lose access to Mohawk email.
