How do I get started?
In order to install any Autodesk software, you will need to create an account. Follow the steps below to create and validate an Autodesk account:
- Visit the Autodesk Education Hub, link above
- Click Select on the product that you need
- Click Select to choose the student subscription plan
- Fill out the required fields for your Education Profile
Note: use your official Mohawk College email eg: firstname.lastname@mohawkcollege.ca - Agree to the Autodesk privacy statement
- Click on Continue
- Confirm the Email address
- Enter your first name and last name
- Choose Student for the Education Role
- Enter your Date of Birth
- Click on Continue
- Enter the schools Address
- Fennel Campus: 135 Fennell. Ave W, Hamilton, Ontario, L9C 0E5
- Stoney Creek Campus: 481 Barton St, Stoney Creek, ON L8E 2L7
- IAHS Campus: 1400 Main St W, Hamilton, ON L8S 1C7
- Select University/Post-Secondary for Institution Type
- Type in Mohawk College for the name, the name should auto-populate as you type
- Type in https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/ in School Website
- Click on Continue
- Confirm all the information is correct then click on Submit
- You will receive some Emails from Autodesk confirming your eligibility for the student license
The email you receive should look like below: - You will be able to return to the Autodesk Education Hub and select the product to download

AutoCAD: AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software application developed and marketed by Autodesk. Its purpose is to allow architects, designers, and other engineering professionals to create, edit, or review 2D or 3D design files. |

Civil 3D: Civil 3D is an Autodesk product that was originally based on AutoCAD. It has been separated into its own program; it is used for civil infrastructure design as well as documentation for transportation, land development, and water and wastewater projects. |

Revit: Revit is an industry-leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software developed and marketed by Autodesk. Its purpose is to allow architects, designers, builders, and other construction professionals to work together on different aspects of a shared project collaboratively. |

Fusion 360: Fusion 360 is a cloud-based computer-aided design (CAD) program that is typically used for consumer product design. It follows a parametric modelling workflow. Access to it is included in the Autodesk Education License, as well as a perpetual, free license for personal or small business use. |
How do I download and install Autodesk products?
Click on "Get product", then select the Operating System and version and click "INSTALL"
After the download completes, run it. You will receive a Windows UAC prompt. Click "Yes"
AutoCAD will take a moment to prepare for installation, afterwards the installer would launch and you will be prompted to choose a location to install.
How do I install AutoCAD Electrical or other specialized toolsets?
In order to install and use AutoCAD Electrical and/or other specialized toolset for AutoCAD, you will need to have AutoCAD already installed on your computer. Follow the steps above to install AutoCAD if you have not done so already
If you have installed AutoCAD using the steps above, you can use the following guide to install AutoCAD Electrical and/or other specialized toolset
Alternatively, Log in to your Autodesk account, then click on your profile icon and select "Products and Services"
Click on "Get product", then select the Operating System and version and click "INSTALL"
Once a tool is selected, choose a version, operating system, and language to download. Click "Install".
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation
