LinkedIn Learning Login

Introduction

Current Mohawk students, faculty, and staff have free access to LinkedIn Learning, an online educational platform with videos covering business, technology, and creative skills.

How do I access LinkedIn Learning?

If you have not used LinkedIn Learning before, you can easily create an account by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to LinkedIn Learning or use the LinkedIn Learning button at the top of this page.
  2. You will be redirected to the Mohawk Single Sign-On page. Enter your MohawkID and password and click "Login"

  3. Follow the prompts to set up and access your LinkedIn Learning account.
  4. During the LinkedIn Learning sign-on process, you will have the option of connecting a LinkedIn profile to your LinkedIn Learning account. See the instructions below to learn more.

Connecting your LinkedIn Account

The benefits of connecting your LinkedIn profile include:

  • personalized learning experience based on your job title, skills and industry
  • discover relevant learning content

 

Connecting your Pre-Existing Profile Connecting with a Newly Created Profile Connecting without a LinkedIn Profile
  1. Click the LinkedIn Learning Login button at the top of this page
  2. Sign in with your 9-digit Mohawk ID @mohawkcollege.ca
  3. Select Connect my LinkedIn account and continue with the prompts

  2. Sign in with your 9-digit Mohawk ID @mohawkcollege.ca
  3. Select Connect my LinkedIn account and continue with the prompts to create your LinkedIn account.
    • Note: Your LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning accounts are different. We suggest using a personal email address to create your LinkedIn account

If you choose not to connect an account:

  1. Click Continue without LinkedIn
  2. Click Do not connect my account
  3. Click Sounds Good and continue with the prompts to finish setting up your LinkedIn Learning account

After your LinkedIn profile is connected to your Learning account, each time you log in to LinkedIn Learning you will sign in with your MohawkID. If you are not logged in to LinkedIn, you will be prompted to enter your personal LinkedIn login details.

If you are already logged in to LinkedIn, you will be taken straight to your Learning account.

Navigating LinkedIn Learning

After you log in to LinkedIn Learning, you will be brought to your dashboard. To learn more about how to navigate this page, see the below.

  1. My Library: The My Library page allows users to see the courses that are In Progress, Saved, Collected, or Recommended by Mohawk College. You can also view your Learning History.
  2. Content: The Content section allows you to view courses by subject and view courses that Mohawk College recommends.
  3. AI Coaching: The AI Coaching feature on LinkedIn Learning offers personalized content and advice based on your role and goals, using data from their library to help with professional development.
  4. Search Bar: Use the search bar to find courses that focus on specific subjects by typing in the search bar.
Taking a Course

Taking a course in LinkedIn Learning is simple. You can find courses that you are interested in by:

  • searching for a topic in the search bar at the top of your dashboard
  • utilizing the Browse section to find courses that focus on specific topics
  • reviewing the recommended courses on your dashboard
Saving a Course
To save a course or chapter within a course, locate a course that you wish to take and click the Save button that appears beside or under the video thumbnail.

Using Learning Paths
Learning paths are curated lists of courses that guide you through an in-depth topic. To find a learning path, select one of the topics under the Content menu on your left-side navigation bar. When you scroll to the bottom of the page you selected, you will find a group of courses under Learning Paths.
Complete Certifications

When you complete a LinkedIn Learning course, you will be given a certification. You will be given the option to add the certification completion to your profile and/or download a certificate.

Students will lose access to their LinkedIn Learning account and certifications one year after graduation. We advise downloading a copy of your certificate for your records.

Download a Course to View on a Mobile Device

Your courses will be synced between your computer and mobile device so you can:

  • start watching on one device
  • explore courses and save them for later
  • download a course for offline viewing

To download a course, click the course and then select the Download button, found directly below the course name.
